Wjae is a mershark, and one of Prince Obal's royal guards. He mistrusts humans, and with good reason - they chase mer out of their territories, and even keep them like pets.

Human Prince Derra freed Obal from captivity, and has a reputation for helping mer. Ever vigilant, Wjae decides to meet this human personally.
